Out with the old, in with the new.
Just in time for your New Year’s resolutions: words you can vow not to use anymore.
Lake Superior State University has come up with their annual list of banished words; that is to say, a list of words they feel should be “banished from the Queen’s English for misuse, overuse, and general uselessness.”
And the winners this year are:
- Baby bump
- Shared sacrifice
- Blow back
- Man cave
- The new normal
- Pet parent
- Win the future
- Thank you in advance

What word would you want to add to the list?
